It's been over 17 years since Rachel's death at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her funeral drew the most viewers in television history and she continues to touch millions of lives. Rachel's death reminded us all that life could be gone from us in a second and we should make the most of it. But she will be remember for more than the tragedy that took her life, ultimately Rachel will be known for her compassion, her faith and her willingness to be used by God to start a "chain reaction."
It is here that we, those who knew her and those who didn't, remember Rachel. Rachel the actress, the Christian, the sister, the daughter, the friend and a journaler. She was a teenage girl from Littleton, Colorado, who faced all the the normal challenges and temptation. The lonely and mistreated had a friend in Rachel. Rachel's deepest desire was to be used by God. She wrote in her journal, "I want you to use me to reach the unreached."
